TorGuard's VMess proxy network is one of the fastest encrypted proxy protocols that can also bypass the most strict VPN blocks or firewalls. There are many VMess client apps available, but in this tutorial we'll be using the client software V2RayN.

Installation and Configuration
Step 1: Download V2RayN
First, download V2RayN from the GitHub releases page. You can download the V2RayN version 6.1 package from this link.
💡 Version Note: Always download the latest stable release for best performance and security. The version may be newer than 6.1.
Step 2: Extract and Run
Unzip the package to your desired installation folder, then right-click the v2rayN.exe executable and select "Run as administrator".
📁 Portable Installation: V2RayN is portable software. You can place it anywhere, even on a USB drive. All settings are saved in the program folder.
Step 3: Change Language (Optional)
If you'd like to change the language to English, click the three dots menu from the right and choose en as shown in the screenshot, then restart the app (make sure to close it from the taskbar hidden icons beside the clock).
💡 Complete Restart: After changing language, right-click the V2RayN icon in the system tray and select "Exit" to fully close the application before restarting.
Step 4: Import VMess Server
The fastest way to import a VMess server is to paste the vmess:// link from the TorGuard premium proxy page. (Login to your TorGuard members account to view the page.)
Copy the VMess link of the server you wish to connect to, then:
- Paste it directly into V2RayN window, or
- Click "Import Bulk URL from Clipboard", or
- Use "Scan QR code on the screen" to scan QR codes from the network page

Step 5: Enable System Proxy
From the "System Proxy" dropdown menu in the app, select "Set System Proxy" to activate the proxy. Select "Clear System Proxy" whenever you want to disable protection.
⚠️ Connection Status: The V2RayN icon in the system tray will change color to indicate connection status:
- 🔵 Blue: Proxy enabled and connected

Step 6: Verify Connection
Now that you're connected, check that your IP has changed by visiting https://torguard.net/whats-my-ip.php in your browser.
